  • Caring for and supporting our residents
  • Managing and monitoring residents’ documentation
  • Providing nursing care and treatment
  • Promoting an active lifestyle for the residents
  • Advising and communicating with residents, relatives and doctors
  • Planning, coordinating and organising staff schedules
  • Administering medication
  • Implementing professional standards

Requirements

  • Intermediate secondary school qualification
  • Certificate of secondary education and completed training in
    care of the elderly and/or other vocational training
  • For outpatients: full driving licence (Class B)

Training

  • Duration: 3 years
  • Teaching in blocks
  • Theoretical training
    – Albert-Schweitzer-Schule training centre in Villingen
    – Vocational school specialising in care for the elderly in Donaueschingen
    – Vocational school specialising in care for the elderly in Schramberg
